This password wasn't found in any of the Pwned Passwords loaded into Have I Been Pwned.That doesn't necessarily mean it's a good password, merely that it's not indexedon this site. If you're not already using a password manager, go and download 1Passwordand change all your passwords to be strong and unique.


Password reuse is normal. It's extremely risky, but it's so common because it's easy andpeople aren't aware of the potential impact. Attacks such as credential stuffingtake advantage of reused credentials by automating login attempts against systems using knownemails and password pairs.


The Pwned Passwords service was created in August 2017 after NIST released guidance specifically recommending that user-provided passwords be checkedagainst existing data breaches. The rationale for this advice and suggestions for howapplications may leverage this data is described in detail in the blog post titledIntroducing 306 Million Freely Downloadable Pwned Passwords.In February 2018, version 2 of the service was releasedwith more than half a billion passwords, each now also with a count of how many times they'dbeen seen exposed. A version 3 release in July 2018contributed a further 16M passwords, version 4 came in January 2019along with the "Collection #1" data breach to bring the total to over 551M.Version 5 landed in July 2019with a total count of 555M records, version 6 arrived June 2020with almost 573M then version 7 arrived November 2020bringing the total passwords to over 613M. The final monolithic release was version 8 in December 2021which marked the beginning of the ingestion pipeline utilised by law enforcement agencies such as the FBI.


As of May 2022, the best way to get the most up to date passwords is to use the Pwned Passwords downloader.The downloaded password hashes may be integrated into other systems and used to verifywhether a password has previously appeared in a data breach after which a system may warn theuser or even block the password outright. From the Sharepoint API documentation, I'm seeing that I need to have a client-id with a client-secret for each 'SharePoint page' that I want to download a file. This is good when the application needs full (read or write) access to the Sharepoint page, but it's not good when a certain user wants to share only a single file inside its OneDrive.


For example, my user has a site under "xpto.sharepoint.com" and, from the browser it has access to the file abcd.sharepoint.com/:u:/p/other_usersspace/file3.txt. But, even after retrieving the context from the site URL, the following error appears:


This is similar to FTP, but you can use the --key option to specify a private key to use instead of a password. Note that the private key may itself be protected by a password that is unrelated to the login password of the remote system; this password is specified using the --pass option. Typically, curl will automatically extract the public key from the private key file, but in cases where curl does not have the proper library support, a matching public key file must be specified using the --pubkey option.


Note! According to the URL specification, HTTP URLs can not contain a user and password, so that style will not work when using curl via a proxy, even though curl allows it at other times. When using a proxy, you must use the -u style for user and password.


If curl fails where it is not supposed to, if the servers do not let you in, if you cannot understand the responses: use the -v flag to get verbose fetching. Curl will output lots of info and what it sends and receives in order to let the user see all client-server interaction (but it will not show you the actual data).


Curl allows the user to set the transfer speed conditions that must be met to let the transfer keep going. By using the switch -y and -Y you can make curl abort transfers if the transfer speed is below the specified lowest limit for a specified time.


curl is also capable of using client certificates to get/post files from sites that require valid certificates. The only drawback is that the certificate needs to be in PEM-format. PEM is a standard and open format to store certificates with, but it is not used by the most commonly used browsers. If you want curl to use the certificates you use with your favorite browser, you may need to download/compile a converter that can convert your browser's formatted certificates to PEM formatted ones.


By default, if user and password are provided, OpenLDAP/WinLDAP will use basic authentication. On Windows you can control this behavior by providing one of --basic, --ntlm or --digest option in curl command line


If the host name matches one of these strings, or the host is within the domain of one of these strings, transactions with that node will not be done over proxy. When a domain is used, it needs to start with a period. A user can specify that both www.example.com and foo.example.com should not use a proxy by setting NO_PROXY to .example.com. By including the full name you can exclude specific host names, so to make www.example.com not use a proxy but still have foo.example.com do it, set NO_PROXY to www.example.com.


Unix introduced the .netrc concept a long time ago. It is a way for a user to specify name and password for commonly visited FTP sites in a file so that you do not have to type them in each time you visit those sites. You realize this is a big security risk if someone else gets hold of your passwords, therefore most Unix programs will not read this file unless it is only readable by yourself (curl does not care though).


NOTE: The telnet protocol does not specify any way to login with a specified user and password so curl cannot do that automatically. To do that, you need to track when the login prompt is received and send the username and password accordingly.


As is mentioned above, you can download multiple files with one command line by simply adding more URLs. If you want those to get saved to a local file instead of just printed to stdout, you need to add one save option for each URL you specify. Note that this also goes for the -O option (but not --remote-name-all).


I wanted a one-liner that didn't download any files; here is an example of piping the cookie output into the next request. I only tested the following on Gentoo, but it should work in most *nix environments:


When you want to use wget to download some file from a site which requires login, you just need a cookie file.In order to generate the cookie file, I choose lynx.lynx is a text web browser.First you need a configure file for lynx to save cookie.Create a file lynx.cfg. And you logout.The in the current directory, you will find a cookie file named as cookie.file. This is what we need for wget.


You can install this plugin in Firefox: -US/firefox/addon/cliget/?src=cb-dl-toprated Start downloading what you want and click on the plugin. It gives you the whole command either for wget or curl to download the file on the serer. Very easy!
