Diana Yastremska became the fourth Ukrainian woman to play in the last 16 of the Australian Open.

Ukrainian tennis player Diana Yastremska (WTA No. 93) has reached the third round of the Australian Open 2024.

In the second round match of the Australian major, the 23-year-old Ukrainian defeated Russian Varvara Gracheva (WTA No. 39), who plays under the French flag.

The match lasted 1 hour and 8 minutes and ended with a 6-3, 6-2 victory for the Ukrainian representative.

During her time on court, Diana served 5 aces and made one double fault. It was the first personal meeting between Yastremska and Gracheva.

For the second time in her career, Jastremska reached the third round of the Australian Open, repeating her personal best at this tournament. The first time this happened was in 2019.
